La Rocco Tower, St Ouen Jersey
La Rocco Tower stands on a tidal rock in St Ouen's Bay, on Jersey's exposed west coast. It was built around 1800 to guard the island against French invasion, and it can be reached on foot at low tide. Here Tony Parsons, a Brighton-based plein air painter, shows it at low water, reflected in the wet sand under a big coastal sky.
A lovely gift for surfers, walkers and anyone who knows St Ouen's Bay.
